I worked as an STR Virtual Assistant and Property Manager in a short-term rental in a Salt Lake City-based listing in Utah and Charlotte, North Carolina, where I communicated with guests through our online software platforms, answering questions from current, incoming, and prospective guests and assisting them in their booking requests, monitoring guests, managing cleaning time, and assigning cleaners after check-out.

A little bit of background on myself from my previous work:

I started working in the BPO industry from 2007 to 2020 as a customer service representative and technical support associate.
Most of my experience was in technical support and I have worked in one of the biggest telecommunication companies in Australia. We started with technical support tier 1, where we resolved customers' issues on the internet connection, and then were promoted to tier 2, where we received tickets from tier 1 that were not resolved over the phone. Then I moved into the tier 3 level of technical support, where we received tickets from tier 2, which were not resolved. We will dispatch a field technician to rectify the issue.

I also have experience as a Video Conference Specialist with the same company, where we received online Video Conferencing meeting requests from customers, manually input them into the system and monitored the customer’s video conferencing meetings to make sure no issues would occur during the meeting.

Then I shifted my career to being one of the case managers at Airbnb for more than a year, where our functions are:
 Assists customers with their queries.
We are assisting Guests or Hosts with their queries about Airbnb and providing them with a walkthrough of the system.
Mediate between host and guest if there are disputes, misunderstandings, and conflicts to come up with an agreement or a resolution to resolve the case.
Making sure that the resolution provided is beneficial and fair to both guest and host.
Ensures that customers get 100% quality customer service and leaves a very good impression on the company.

And from 2020 to 2021, I entered the world of Real Estate firms as an Inside Sales Agent (Appointment Setter), where we call prospects or possible leads who are looking for properties to buy or sell their property and set a meeting with our realtor, either phone call, virtual meeting (zoom call) or face-to-face appointment.

I started working as a short-term rental virtual assistant in 2021, and this is currently my niche for my freelancing career. I feel that this is the perfect job role for myself since I enjoy doing customer service and because of my experience as a case manager with Airbnb before.
