I am a communications expert with five years of professional experience. Currently, I serve as a communications consultant at the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines where I am mainly tasked to produce content that promotes the use and appreciation of the intellectual property system, a subject widely regarded as esoteric for its technicalities. Much of the communication skills I have now I owe to my years as a former business journalist at BusinessWorld, the country’s top business paper. There, I specialized in reporting economic policies and events in the local and global settings that may impact the Philippine business cUpgrade to see actual infoate. For nearly a year and a half, I covered the Trade and Investments beat for the paper. Within this period, I was selected as the Philippine delegate to the World Trade Organization’s seminar for journalists based in developing countries. Prior to covering Trade, I reported on Agri-mining news for over two years. Before joining BusinessWorld, I briefly worked part-time editing academic English articles written by Japanese high school students. During my last year in college, I worked for a contact center as a sales representative. I graduated Magna Cum Laude upon completing my Bachelor’s degree in Journalism at the Manila Times College where I served for two years as editor-in-chief for its collegiate online journal.
