Profile Description

Writing evolved from a childhood hobby of mine into my dream livelihood.
Professionally, I've been working as a freelance writer for over 11 years now, starting my career as an official correspondent for the now-defunct, online arts and culture portal, www.LimitéUpgrade to see actual info in New York City.  I wrote for Limité’s Film section, contributing film reviews and other movie-related articles.

InUpgrade to see actual info, I worked as Editor-in-Chief of the online entertainment news site, Media Connex Asia, based in Singapore, wherein I also wrote film reviews, media and entertainment news, and opinion editorials.

Simultaneously, I work as a Screenwriter, having written several short films that have played in the film festival circuits in the Philippines and abroad.
I’ve also written 2 full-length feature screenplays that have been distributed in theatres and online streaming platforms, with the titles, “The Muses” (released in 2013, produced by TV5 Productions and CineFilipino Film Festival), and “Quezon’s Game” (released in 2018, produced by Star Cinema and Kinetek Cine).

At present, I collaborate with numerous production houses in Manila and Cebu in the Philippines, writing scripts for their clients’ corporate Audio-Visual Presentations (AVPs), commercial ads, and any other story needs.  I also continue to take in short-term writing projects from various companies that need technical articles, long-form blog posts, and project proposals.    

I published my very first fiction novel, “Brandy Pooh’s Time-Traveling Adventures, Book One: The Legend of the Fourteen Shih Tzus,” last September 2018, which is a testament to my love and passion for writing in all forms.

In spite having a broad experience in writing, I want to continue to hone my craft better, and I am excited to take on new and diverse projects, wherein I know my rich experience and my knack for expressing the absolute maximum will help bring better awareness to your brands.
