Overview of my skills
As a Veterinary Virtual Assistant:
• Send/email/fax medical records to primary veterinarians/clinics in a timely manner.
• Obtain medical records from clinics/hospitals prior to patient's appointment.
• Approve/authorize online prescription requests via online pharmacies promptly such as VetSource, Chewy, PetMeds, AlliVet, and many more.
• Send reminders prior to the patient's annual exam, prescription refills, and vaccine appointments.
• Email/send prescription pads to owners and pharmacies for prescription refills.
• Update the owner/client's account and attach records to the patient's file.
• Transcribe audio recordings or JPEG/PNG/PDF files and complete medical reports on the clinic's EMR/EHR.
• Knowledgeable on Cornerstone, ezyVet, SmartFlow, Vetport, and other EMR/EHR.
• Coordinating pharmacies and pharmacists regarding prescriptions.
• Communicate with client's inquiries regarding the patient's wellness and other inquiries regarding the doctor's assessment on the vet visit.

As a Medical Transcriptionist:
• I convert transcribed diagnostic test results, procedures, and consultation notes into applicable report formats.
• I type out the full forms of medical abbreviations and acronyms, as well as the formal versions of medical jargon.
• I am proficient in the hospital's Electronic Health Record systems, such as the SmartFlow, VetPort, Cornerstone, Ezyvet EHR, and others.
• I have exceptional written communication skills and I am knowledgeable of medical record formats.
