As an external and junior auditor at an accounting firm, I conducted financial statement audits, reviewed internal controls, and provided recommendations to clients for improving their financial processes. Additionally, I worked as an accountant, preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and managing accounts payable and receivable. In my collections role, I worked for 5 years as a collections specialist in the credit card industry, where I was responsible for contacting past due customers and negotiating payment plans and settlements. I developed and implemented effective collection strategies to prioritize accounts and reduce aging of accounts receivable, while ensuring compliance with federal and state laws and company policies. I also received recognition for my research skills and my ability to locate the best phone numbers and contact information for delinquent customers.
