I have worked for over five years at ABS-CBN, one of the Philippines' largest media corporations, so my skills are all somehow related to writing. I held the position of PR Associate under the Corporate Communications department for over three years, where my tasks included writing press releases, covering media conferences, social media management, and basic graphic and video editing. I also contributed features and other content (including videos, quizzes, forum articles, etc.) to the company's internal social networking site via Yammer to foster engagement among employees.
My first job was as a Desk Researcher in the news division of the same company. This job also helped hone my writing skills as I would write summaries of crew-covered events. Aside from this, I also maintained media contacts in case a reputable and credible resource person needs to be tapped for certain stories.
I also did a part-time job in a news broadcast/public service morning show called "Umagang Kay Ganda" as a writer, so I also have minimal experience in writing for broadcast.
In brief, I am very confident with my writing skills and also have average experience in video and photo editing. I also am fairly skilled in using Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Publisher, and Canva.
