YouTube Video Editor for Educational Content

— WHO WE ARE —
I am Niek, a starting YouTuber, on my journey to become a professional racing driver. Each week i upload a video on my journey with education in mind.
With these videos i hope to help other beginning racing drivers become better trough improving their health, wealth and racing skills.


— WHAT I’M LOOKING FOR —
I’m looking for a remote, Video Editor and Animator who aspire to be the best YouTube editors in the world. Period.

If hired, you will spend most of your time editing and animating long form vlogs/video’s, with trimming the video, simple but value-adding edits, like text, screens and b-roll. You will also animate simple things like racing lines and inputs of the racing driver (a bit like this video: Upgrade to see actual info), i will send/make a reference for this when needed, and if you have problems understanding you can always send me a message. This will preferably be done in the Adobe software’s, like premiere pro and after effects.

I want these simple edits to look professional, so you will be kept to a high standard, because this is how we become the best in what we will achieve.

Your day-to-day will also involve sourcing/screen-recording necessary b-roll for the videos you edit, and analyzing previous videos Viewer Retention Analytics Graphs to uncover opportunities to improve future edits. Most of the b-roll will be provided by me.


— THE IDEAL CANDIDATE —
Here are the main skills and abilities we’re looking for in our applicants:

VIDEO EDITING (Required): Obviously, you must be an exceptionally talented video editor from a technical perspective. However, you must also have the passion, creativity, and sense of humor to be able to turn bland, average footage into highly engaging videos that educate AND entertain viewers. Without over editing the videos.

ANIMATION (Required): You must be capable of creating high-quality 2d overlay, titling, and keyframing animations that visually illustrate the concepts we discuss in our videos.


— YOUR KPIs —
Your performance will be graded using the following KPIs:

1. Good Audience Retention, which we’ll be able to measure and learn from through our YouTube analytics.

2. The number of revisions the videos you edit require before being finalised (the less, the better)

3. The number of hours it takes you to create a video (the less, the better)

FLEXIBLE WORK HOURS: You can work whenever you want within reason, i’m happy when you do your required work, but obviously do it on time, since i want to stick to my upload schedule.

MORE WORK: In the future i will need more work done, like my courses, shorts and more long form educational videos. And if you continue to do good work, we can discuss doing more hours, and getting paid more.

COMMISSIONS: a part of my profit will go to my workers, divided equally based on the hours worked, paid with every paycheck.
