We’re looking for a versatile and highly skilled YouTube Video Editor & Social Media Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for a creative professional who thrives on variety, has an eye for detail, and is eager to contribute to the success of a growing media company.
Key Responsibilities
YouTube Video Editing
Edit high-quality video content for YouTube under the Common Cents Media brand, including storyboarding, color correction, audio enhancement, and incorporating pre-selected music, interviews, sound clips, and transitions.
Design and create custom thumbnails that are visually compelling and optimized for click-through rates.
Utilize Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator for video editing, animations, and on-screen graphics.
Apply advanced video editing techniques such as layered effects, simple masking, and basic rotoscoping.
Collaborate on creative ideas to make content fresh, engaging, and aligned with Common Cents Media’s mission.
Ensure videos meet YouTube platform specifications and brand standards.
Social Media Management
Develop and implement social media strategies to grow engagement and build community across platforms such as
Create and manage a content calendar to ensure consistent and timely posts.
Write engaging and grammatically flawless captions, posts, and updates tailored to the target audience.
Monitor performance metrics, analyze trends, and adjust strategies for optimal results.
Engage with the online community by responding to comments, fostering conversations, and managing Common Cents Media’s online presence.
Stay updated on social media platform trends, tools, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
Collaborate with the team to align social media campaigns with Common Cents Media’s broader goals.
Qualifications
Language Proficiency: Fluent in English with excellent reading, writing, and comprehension skills. Must write with proper grammar and understand nuanced context.
Experience:
At least 2 years of experience in video editing and 3 years in social media management.
Proven experience creating engaging video content and thumbnails.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator).
Familiarity with social media tools such as Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics 4, and Canva.
Experience creating click-worthy thumbnails and short-form videos.
Creative Expertise: Strong ability to create visually appealing and engaging content tailored to digital platforms.
Bonus: Experience managing YouTube podcast content or strategy.
Time Zone Availability: Must be available to work during Eastern Standard Time.
