We educate our audience of CEOs and in-house marketers on marketing and sales strategies through high-value YouTube content. Our goal is to help pest control operators grow their businesses by providing engaging, informative videos.
We are looking for a full-time YouTube Editor to bring our video content to life, ensuring it meets professional standards, captivates our audience, and maintains alignment with our brand guidelines. If you're passionate about editing content that informs and inspires business leaders, we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
Edit long-form YouTube videos (2-10 minutes) and YouTube Shorts (under 60 seconds) from raw footage, delivering polished, professional-quality content.
Create dynamic captions, text overlays, and animations to emphasize key points.
Ensure seamless transitions, clean cuts, and proper audio synchronization.
Optimize videos for YouTube engagement, including pacing, hooks, and storytelling techniques.
Apply Pesty Marketing's brand guidelines to maintain consistent style and tone.
Collaborate with the content team to understand project objectives and deliver content on schedule.
Stay up-to-date with YouTube best practices and video trends to improve content performance.
Requirements:
Proven experience editing YouTube videos and Shorts.
Strong proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
Skilled in adding captions, animations, and text overlays.
Familiarity with YouTube’s content strategies, including pacing and engagement tactics.
Ability to edit videos for native English-speaking audiences.
Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines.
Experience in editing videos related to business, marketing, or sales topics is a plus.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Test Project Information:
As part of the hiring process, selected candidates will complete a paid test project to demonstrate their skills. The project will evaluate your ability to edit both long-form and short-form YouTube videos.
Compensation: $100 for completing the test project.
Project Deliverables:
A 2-10 minute long-form YouTube video.
A vertical YouTube Short (under 60 seconds).
Key Evaluation Areas:
Timeliness in delivering the project.
Editing quality, including transitions, pacing, and sound balance.
Creativity and engagement of final videos.
Understanding of the content’s target audience and purpose.
