JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a skilled and experienced WordPress Website Maker and Developer to create, customize, and maintain responsive and visually appealing websites. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing functional, user-friendly WordPress websites and a strong understanding of both design and development. Speed, efficiency, and creativity are essential for this role, along with the ability to meet deadlines and adapt to client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop custom WordPress websites from scratch or by customizing existing themes.
Install and configure WordPress themes, plugins, and integrations to meet project requirements.
Create responsive, mobile-friendly designs that work seamlessly across devices and browsers.
Optimize website performance, including loading speed and SEO best practices.
Troubleshoot technical issues, bugs, and errors on websites.
Collaborate with clients or team members to gather requirements and ensure project objectives are met.
Ensure website security by implementing updates, backups, and monitoring tools.
Provide post-launch support and training to clients as needed.

Requirements:

Proven experience in developing and managing WordPress websites with a portfolio showcasing completed projects.
Strong proficiency in WordPress, including custom themes, plugins, and page builders (e.g.,Gutenberg (a must) Elementor, WPBakery).
Knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
Experience with back-end development, including PHP and MySQL.
Familiarity with website optimization techniques, including performance and SEO improvements.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve website errors quickly and efficiently.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow design and technical specifications.
Excellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Skills:

Experience with advanced WordPress functionality, such as custom post types, API integrations, and e-commerce (WooCommerce).
Familiarity with website hosting environments and domain management.
Knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Photoshop) for creating basic design elements.
Understanding of accessibility standards and GDPR compliance.
Work Environment:

This is a remote position, but you must have access to a reliable internet connection and the necessary tools for development.
Flexible working hours are available, but meeting project deadlines is essential.
