WordPress Website Developer & SEO Content Creator

Job Description:

We’re looking for a skilled and detail-oriented individual to design, build, and write content for a WordPress website from scratch. This is a one-off project to launch a new site, but it could lead to ongoing work for the right candidate.

You’ll be responsible for both the technical side of setting up the site and the creative side of writing all the content—manually written only, no AI-generated content allowed. A strong grasp of SEO is essential, as everything needs to be optimized for performance and search engine visibility.

Responsibilities:

Build a fully functional, responsive WordPress website from the ground up

Design the site layout, navigation, and overall structure

Write clear, engaging, and SEO-optimized content for all website pages (home, about, services, FAQs, etc.)

Ensure all content is 100% human-written and original

Implement on-page SEO best practices (metadata, internal linking, image optimization, etc.)

Ensure fast load times and good technical SEO health

Maintain consistency with brand tone and messaging

Provide light ongoing support if needed after launch (optional)

Requirements:

Proven experience building custom WordPress websites

Excellent writing skills with samples of original content

Solid understanding of SEO fundamentals and best practices

Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work

Ability to manage a project independently and meet deadlines

Familiarity with basic design tools (Canva, Photoshop, etc.) is a bonus

This is a one-off project, but for the right candidate, there’s potential for long-term or recurring work on future projects.
