We’re looking for a skilled, proactive freelance writer to take over the research, drafting, and creative ideation for our weekly newsletter. This isn’t just about writing - it’s about connecting with our audience, capturing the brand’s essence, and delivering a mix of inspiration, humor, and cutting-edge wellness insights. It’s a role we have tried to fill previously, however were unable to find a candidate able to capture the essence of the brand and find topics that would be well-fit for our audience.

Key Responsibilities

Newsletter Drafting:
Write 1 newsletter per week (1,500 words) in line with the Daily Rituals tone and style, including:
1-2 curated sections on wellness trends, longevity insights, or self-care ideas
Quick-fire recommendations and links (e.g., viral products, new studies, must-reads, events to attend in London, new beauty updates).

Content Research:
Proactively identify timely, relevant topics in the wellness, beauty, femtech and self-care space.
Stay on top of trends via TikTok, Instagram, wellness blogs, and publications (e.g., Huberman Lab, Goop, Well+Good, FitInsider, Athletech News etc.).
Curate stats, studies, or viral trends to weave into newsletter content.

Audience Engagement:
Write with our audience (25-35-year-old wellness enthusiasts) in mind, balancing wit, relatability, and expert insights. They know the basics!
Include engagement hooks, such as calls for replies, polls, or ways readers can get involved, without sounding try-hard - the tone is key.

Iterative Process:
Take feedback and refine drafts to ensure the final piece feels on-brand and polished. First draft expected by Wednesday every week, with a final draft by Saturday to be scheduled Sunday and live Monday.
Incorporate sponsorships organically without compromising the newsletter’s voice or flow (see previous examples).

What We’re Looking For
Skills & Experience:

Proven experience writing newsletters, blogs, or digital content with a similar tone (witty, conversational, and insightful).
Strong understanding of wellness, longevity, and self-care topics, with the ability to identify fresh, relevant content.
Excellent research skills—you know where to dig for trends, viral moments, and niche insights that resonate.
A sharp editorial sense, able to balance information with humor and engagement with authenticity.
Ability to maintain our current click rate - our readers like what we share and how we share it, and we hit over 5-6?ch time as our CTR.

Ideal Candidate:

Passionate about wellness, self-care, and staying ahead of trends in the space.
A proactive self-starter who takes ownership of content, requiring minimal direction.
Adaptable to feedback and comfortable refining drafts to hit the perfect tone.
Attention to detail—whether it’s fact-checking, formatting, or delivering work that’s polished and typo-free.

Test Task
To ensure the perfect fit, shortlisted candidates will complete a test task:
Write a sample “Trending” newsletter section (200-300 words)
Write a sample “Wellness Web” section (200-300 words)
Please check out previous issues to better understand the tone, format and vibe for each section.

We look forward to hearing from you! ????
