Website developer and Graphic designer

Overview:
We are seeking a versatile Website Designer/Developer & Graphic Designer to join our fully remote team. In this dual-role position, you will be responsible for both designing and developing high-quality, responsive websites and creating engaging visual assets that align with our brand identity. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams via Trello for task management and Slack for real-time communication. Key Responsibilities
Web Design & Development


Design responsive and visually appealing web layouts that emphasize user experience (UX) and user interface (UI).
Implement front-end code using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (knowledge of frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular is a plus).
Ensure websites adhere to best practices for accessibility, cross-browser compatibility, and performance optimization.
Conduct routine site maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting to ensure minimal downtime.
Graphic Design & Branding


Create compelling visual assets, including logos, icons, banners, and infographics that reflect brand guidelines.
Collaborate on marketing and promotional materials such as digital ads, social media graphics, and email templates.
Propose and refine design concepts with a strong understanding of typography, color theory, and layout principles.
Collaboration & Communication


Manage project tasks, deadlines, and deliverables using Trello.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members via Slack for feedback, status updates, and brainstorming sessions.
Participate in remote team meetings to discuss creative direction, share progress, and resolve challenges.
Quality Assurance & Testing


Conduct usability testing and gather user feedback to continuously refine and improve the user journey.
Regularly test and debug website features across multiple devices and browsers to maintain high performance and functionality.
Continuous Improvement


Keep current with emerging design trends, development best practices, and industry-leading software tools.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives and help shape the creative direction of the brand.

Required Qualifications
Education & Experience:


Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
1+ years of experience in web design/development and graphic design, preferably in a remote setting.
Technical Skills:


Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive web design principles.
Expert-level skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or similar design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch).
Experience creating wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
Soft Skills:


Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for remote collaboration.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and workflows.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue).
Basic understanding of server-side scripting (e.g., PHP, Node.js).
UI/UX certification or relevant coursework.
Familiarity with Trello, Slack, and other project management or remote collaboration tools.
Knowledge of SEO best practices and website accessibility standards.
