Position Overview:
The HIPAA Compliance Specialist & Medical Call Center Setup Consultant will be responsible for assessing our current processes, implementing necessary changes to comply with HIPAA regulations, and designing an efficient framework for a medical call center. This role requires a blend of compliance expertise and operational efficiency, ensuring patient information is secure and calls are handled professionally.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct a thorough assessment of current practices, policies, and systems for HIPAA compliance.
Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures to ensure HIPAA compliance.
Train staff on HIPAA rules and best practices for handling patient information.
Collaborate with IT to establish secure systems for data management, including encryption and access control.
Design and oversee the setup of a call center equipped to handle medical-related inquiries.
Develop workflows and scripts for call center representatives to ensure patient care and compliance.
Perform regular audits to ensure continued compliance and operational efficiency.
Serve as a point of contact for any compliance-related questions or issues.
Qualifications:

Proven experience in HIPAA compliance, preferably in a healthcare or call center environment.
Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and patient data security.
Experience in call center setup and management is a plus.
Excellent communication and training skills.
Strong organizational and project management abilities.
Certifications in healthcare compliance (e.g., CHPC, CHC) are preferred but not required.
