Video Editor (YouTube / Talking Head)

I’m looking for an experienced YouTube video editor who can work with me on my talking head videos. I’m a full-time YouTuber, so I’m looking for a full-time editor I can work with for years as I scale up my business.

If you have experience with talking head content, that’s a plus. Film/cinematography experience is also a bonus.

Note: if you only edit on your phone using Capcut or another mobile editing software, this is NOT the job for you.

Here’s what you should be an expert at:

- Taking videos from raw talking head footage and a script to the final edit
- Video editing on a computer (not a mobile phone)
- Jump cuts, on-screen text and simple animations/effects
- Color grading (one color grade per video)
- Sound leveling, audio syncing and background music selection
- Knowledge of camera, sound and lighting equipment
- Obsessively attentive to detail
- Communicating with me about your progress
- Working quickly
- Excellent spoken & written English

Here’s what you DON’T need to be an expert at:

- Advanced animations (basic animations are sufficient)
- Integrating b-roll
- Complex sound design / SFX

Additional Information:
- 40 hours per week
- Salary is $600 - $900 USD/month, depending on your skills & experience
