Urgent!!! Senior Accountant - USA-based experience

Our Senior Accountants provide accounting support in all aspects of financial accounting on behalf of our clients, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, revenue accounting, and account reconciliation on an accrual basis primarily, with some cash basis clients.

The candidate in this position will be trained and should aspire to be an Accounting Manager or Controller as he/she progresses.

The position is fully remote and requires a high degree of comfort with various software and applications and a desire to learn new systems as needed. The successful candidate will use multiple systems such as Customer Resource Management (CRM), electronic banking, electronic bill pays, and multiple timekeeping systems such as TSheets and Clockwise Daily.

Responsibilities:
- Detailed Balance Sheet Reconciliations to work papers.
- Provide timely and accurate payment processing of accounts payable for multiple clients.
- Respond to client inquiries related to accounts payable.
- Prepare customer billing on behalf of multiple clients and monitor Accounts Receivable Aging, notifying clients when payments are past due.
- Assist in month-end close procedures, including developing and maintaining work papers, and files on asset and liability account balances.
- Assist in the preparation of client budgets and forecasts as requested.
- Follow up on action items related to client service and collaborate to ensure accurate and timely services and reporting to clients.

Qualifications:
- B.S. Accounting/Finance graduate; CPA preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience in accounting or related functions
- Experience working directly for a US-based client/company is a MUST
- GovCon or Cost Accounting experience highly preferred
- Public Accounting experience preferred
- Knowledge of GAAP, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Ability to multi-task, interface with multiple clients daily, and exercise problem-solving skills
- Strong understanding of Accrual Based Accounting is a MUST
- Detail and deadline-oriented self-starter

- Can communicate well and effectively
- Proven, solid software skills and exposure to automated accounting systems to include:
