JOB OVERVIEW

Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Upwork Lead Generation Specialist to identify, qualify, and apply to relevant job postings on Upwork for our agency. Our agency specializes in AWS Cloud, DevOps, Security, and other IT-related services. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of these technical domains to accurately match our expertise with client needs. This role involves working a few hours every morning, leveraging our agency’s chosen software tools to submit proposals on Upwork and reporting on key metrics like responses and closed deals.

Responsibilities:

1. Identify Relevant Opportunities

-Search for and identify new job postings on Upwork that align with our agency’s core services (AWS, DevOps, Security, etc.).
-Filter and prioritize job postings based on the likelihood of success and strategic fit for our expertise.

2. Craft and Submit Proposals

-Develop and submit tailored proposals that effectively showcase our team’s capabilities and past successes.
-Use pre-defined templates and personalize them to each client’s requirements, ensuring a professional and compelling approach.
-Ensure proposals are submitted within specified timeframes.

3. Manage and Track Activities

-Utilize our agency’s chosen software to log all job applications, monitor application statuses, and record key metrics (e.g., number of proposals, client responses, closed deals).
-Provide daily or weekly reports on outcomes, highlighting wins, challenges, and areas of improvement.

4. Collaborate with Technical Team

-Work closely with our AWS, DevOps, Security, and other IT specialists to clarify technical details and ensure proposals are accurate and up-to-date.
-Coordinate with the team to confirm resource availability and get expert insights for more complex job postings.

5. Maintain Upwork Agency Profile

-Regularly update the agency profile, portfolio, and other relevant sections to reflect new successes and capabilities.
-Continuously review and improve the agency’s Upwork presence to attract more leads.

Qualifications

-Basic Understanding of AWS, DevOps, and IT Security: Familiarity with cloud computing concepts, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and information security best practices.
-Experience with Upwork: Prior experience with Upwork (or similar freelance platforms) in a business development or lead generation role is highly preferred.
-Excellent Written Communication: Strong writing skills to craft proposals that accurately represent our capabilities and address client needs.
-Organized & Detail-Oriented: Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously and keep meticulous records of all activities.
-Proficiency in Tracking Tools: Comfortable using CRM or project management software, spreadsheets, and other tracking systems to measure performance.
-Morning Availability: Must be available for a few hours each morning to handle new postings promptly.
-Team Collaboration: Willingness to coordinate with technical teams to ensure proposal accuracy and alignment with our service offerings.

-Number of Relevant Jobs Identified per day/week
-Proposal Conversion Rate (Proposals sent vs. responses)
-Response Quality (Number of interviews or follow-ups vs. total applications)
-Closed Deals attributed to submitted proposals
-Daily/Weekly Reporting on progress, challenges, and wins
