Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Grant Writer and Researcher to join our team. This individual will be responsible for researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to secure funding for our organization’s programs and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills, a solid understanding of the grant application process, and the ability to conduct thorough research to identify potential funding opportunities. Key Responsibilities:

Grant Writing:
Write compelling, accurate, and well-researched grant proposals for foundations, corporations, government agencies, and other funding sources. Tailor proposals to align with the specific requirements of each funder.

Research:
Conduct in-depth research to identify potential grant opportunities that align with the organization's goals and programs. Keep up to date with funding trends and opportunities within the nonprofit and public sectors.

Proposal Management:
Manage multiple proposals simultaneously, ensuring that all deadlines are met. Track progress and provide updates to key stakeholders throughout the grant-writing process.

Grant Reporting:
Prepare and submit required progress reports and final reports for awarded grants. Ensure compliance with all grant terms and conditions.

Collaborate with Team:
Work closely with program managers, finance teams, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and data for grant applications.

Document Management:
Maintain a library of grant proposals, funding applications, and supporting documents. Organize and keep records of submitted grants, deadlines, and outcomes.

Donor Relations:
Help foster and maintain relationships with current and potential funders. Assist in crafting communications to keep donors informed about the impact of their support.

Funding Strategy:
Assist in developing a comprehensive fundraising strategy, including researching and identifying new funding opportunities.

Qualifications
* Proven experience as a grant writer, researcher, or in a similar role, preferably within the nonprofit or public sector.
* Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to craft compelling proposals and reports.
* Excellent research skills and the ability to identify and assess funding opportunities.
* Knowledge of the grant application process, including understanding funder requirements and reporting standards.
* Experience working with a variety of funding sources, including government grants, private foundations, and corporate sponsors.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
* Attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Familiarity with grant management software and tools is a plus.
* Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, or related fields) is preferred.
* Knowledge of nonprofit program areas or specific industry experience may be an advantage (e.g., education, healthcare, environment).
