JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for an English-speaking sales professional to join the Sales & Marketing team. The Travel Consultant, B2C Channel operates in a consultative selling environment, proactively managing a flow of sales leads. He/she makes phone and email presentations to convert interest in the company’s programs into reservations. He/she works directly with the Sales Manager, B2C Channel to achieve the objectives set in the Company’s seasonal B2C revenue plan.

Major Areas of Responsibility

• Assist an international audience of travelers in a consultative selling role.

• Present the Company’s expeditions proactively to maximize economic return.

• Attend to customer requests in a professional, timely manner, managing the booking process for each reservation from initial contact to post-travel follow-up.

• Interface with the Sales Manager, B2C Channel to provide feedback on the effectiveness of lead generation initiatives.

• Interface with the client services area to coordinate the delivery of passenger data.

• Support the delivery of the Company’s products and services by coordinating communication with customers as requested by management.

• Support the Sales & Marketing department with administrative tasks as requested by management.

• Carry out any other reasonable assignment that may assist in the smooth operation of the business and in the achievement of its objectives.



Requirements

Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge:

• At least 3 years of inside sales experience within the travel industry

• Experience with a travel reservation system

• English as first language, or native-speaker proficiency

• Well-developed communication skills

• Proficiency with email, word processing, and spreadsheet applications

• Attention to detail

• Passion and enthusiasm for the travel industry



Welcomed Additional Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

• Experience selling high-end, active travel products to an international audience

• Experience with sales management technology (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce, Insightly etc.)

• Knowledge of Antarctica and Patagonia

• Proficiency in Mandarin or other languages

• International travel and/or live-abroad experiences
