Structural Engineer / Draftsperson - AUSTRALIAN EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

We are seeking an experienced structural draftsperson/engineer to join our team on either a full time or contractual basis (20-40 hours per week, with indicative salary based on a 40-hour work week).

North Coast Design (NCD), an architectural and structural drafting company based in Western Australia, completes a variety of residential and commercial projects, including:
? New homes
? Renovations and extensions
? Pools, sheds, and ancillary structures
? Commercial fitouts (offices, childcare centres, gyms)
? Concrete tilt panel and steel frame structures

The role involves producing structural documentation such as:
-Footing and slab details
-Roof and wall framing plans
-Structural sections and connection details
-Any other drawings required for engineer review and certification

IMPORTANT:
?? You must have prior Australian experience working in the residential sector. Western Australian experience is highly preferred.
?? You must be able to work independently and produce structural documentation directly from architectural plans, not from structural engineer markups.

? Ideal Candidate Requirements:
-Proven ability to work independently to create structural documentation from architectural plans.
-Minimum 2 years of experience using AutoCAD for structural drafting.
-Strong knowledge of Australian residential construction methods, including:
Double brick and cavity wall systems
Timber and steel framing
Concrete tilt panel construction
-Ability to produce high-quality documentation for engineer review and certification.
-Prior experience with a variety of project types, including new homes, renovations, and commercial developments.
-Fluent in English (written and verbal) with clear communication skills.
-Ability to provide examples of previously completed work (please attach samples to your application if possible).
-Own computer and reliable internet connection (software will be provided).
