As we continue to expand, we are looking for a Design Team Manager to oversee our solar proposal department, ensuring efficient scheduling, accurate system designs, and seamless proposal generation.
Position Overview:
The Design Team Manager will be responsible for managing the workflow of our proposal team, ensuring timely and accurate solar designs, and optimizing scheduling processes. The ideal candidate will have experience using Aurora Solar, possess basic solar knowledge, and demonstrate strong organizational and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Team Leadership & Scheduling:
• Manage and coordinate the daily workflow of the solar proposal team.
• Assign and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines for sales proposals.
• Ensure proposal turnaround times align with company standards.
• Solar System Design & Proposal Oversight:
• Use Aurora Solar to create accurate solar system designs.
• Review designs to ensure compliance with company standards, local codes, and customer needs.
• Work closely with the sales team to tailor proposals based on customer requirements.
• Process Optimization & Training:
• Improve efficiency in the proposal process by refining workflows and implementing best practices.
• Train and support tea
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends, utility rates, and design best practices.
• Cross-Department Collaboration:
• Work closely with the sales team to provide timely and effective proposal support.
• Collaborate with operations and permitting teams to ensure a smooth transition from proposal to installation.
• Provide insights on system designs to optimize cost and efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Experience using Aurora Solar or similar design software.
• Basic understanding of solar PV system design and energy production calculations.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to lead a team and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Experience in the solar industry or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive) and CRM tools.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
