Description
Upgrade to see actual info LLC is seeking a passionate Social Media Manager with a veterinary background to manage and moderate our online community. In this role, you will be one of the voices of our brand, engaging with dog lovers, forum readers, and pet owners navigating canine cancer across multiple platforms.

Your focus will be on moderating discussions in our dog cancer support community, creating compelling content, and fostering a supportive space for those navigating canine cancer. By ensuring our social media presence aligns with our mission of providing medically-reviewed, evidence-based guidance, you will play a key role in building an informed and compassionate community.

Responsibilities

Community Management
* Moderate and manage our Facebook group with over 10,000 members: Dog Cancer Support.
* Manage our Facebook pages, including Dog Cancer Survival Guide, Upgrade to see actual info, and Dog Cancer Answers.
* Respond to comments, questions, and interactions across platforms (including Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok) to foster a supportive and engaging community.
* Manage and grow our LinkedIn presence, with a special focus on reaching veterinary professionals and increasing awareness of our brand within the veterinary community.
* Enforce group rules, including preventing financial assistance requests while maintaining a compassionate and informative discussion environment.

Content Creation
* Develop and post engaging, informative, and compassionate content derived and adapted from our vet-produced content that is tailored to dog lovers, pet owners navigating canine cancer, and veterinarians.
* Ensure content aligns with Upgrade to see actual info’s mission and tone of voice.
Platform Management
* Oversee and manage social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
* Use Meta for Business tools to schedule posts, analyze performance, and optimize engagement.

Engagement and Growth
* Actively engage with the community to build trust and maintain a positive environment.
* Monitor trends and conversations in the veterinary and pet care space to inform content strategy.

Requirements

Qualifications
* Veterinary Background: Must have companion animal veterinary knowledge. Are you a veterinarian, veterinary assistant, or veterinary student? Perhaps you have deep experiential knowledge of dog cancer?
* Social Media Experience: Proven experience in social media management, including Facebook Group moderation
* Platform Knowledge: Strong understanding of Meta for Business, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and TikTok
* Availability: Able to work 20 hours per week

Technical Requirements
* Proficiency in using Meta for Business tools for scheduling, analytics, and performance tracking
* Familiarity with social media management platforms
* Experience with social media analytics tools to measure engagement, reach, and growth (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Insights), and an understanding of SEO principles for social media
* Strong knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) to create visually appealing content
* Fast and reliable internet connection
