Shopify Web Developer

We are looking for an experienced Shopify Web Developer to join our team on a part-time or project basis. You will be responsible for fixing immediate issues with our Shopify store’s cart and checkout flow, ensuring our customers can complete their purchases without any obstacles. Additionally, you’ll collaborate directly with our SEO specialist to implement best practices for organic search visibility.

Key Responsibilities
1. Cart & Checkout Fixes
- Diagnose and resolve cart errors preventing customers from checking out.
- Streamline the checkout process for a seamless user experience.

2. Shopify Customization & Maintenance
- Implement new features and functionalities in line with our brand guidelines.
- Regularly update and maintain the Shopify store to ensure optimal performance.

3. Collaboration with SEO Specialist
- Take direction from our SEO expert to ensure the site is fully optimized for search engines.
- Implement SEO-friendly code, tags, and metadata as directed.

4. Performance & User Experience
- Conduct regular performance checks to identify potential site speed or user experience bottlenecks.
- Ensure all changes align with responsive design best practices.

5. Quality Assurance & Testing
- Thoroughly test all changes to the store before deployment.
- Monitor user feedback and quickly address any arising technical issues.

Requirements
- Proven Shopify Experience: A strong portfolio of past Shopify websites or projects is required.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Liquid (Shopify’s templating language), and relevant Shopify apps.
- Familiarity with SEO Best Practices: Comfortable working with an SEO specialist and implementing their recommendations.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and quickly resolve technical issues.
- Strong Communication: Able to work collaboratively and communicate progress, challenges, and updates effectively.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring every element—from code to design—is optimized and functional.
