Shopify Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Shopify Theme Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing and customizing Shopify themes and plugins, with a strong understanding of eCommerce best practices and user experience design. As a Shopify Developer, you will be responsible for creating, modifying, and maintaining Shopify themes to meet our clients' needs and enhance their online stores. You may also be required to create plugins to support key features

Key Responsibilities:
- Theme Development and Customization:
- Develop custom Shopify themes from scratch or customize existing themes to meet client specifications.
- Ensure themes are optimized for performance, SEO, and conversion.
- Responsive Design Implementation:
- Implement responsive design techniques to ensure themes are mobile-friendly and provide a seamless user experience across all devices.
- Collaboration with Design and Development Teams:
- Work closely with designers to translate design mockups into functional Shopify themes.
- Collaborate with backend developers to integrate themes with Shopify's platform and third-party applications.
- Troubleshooting and Support:
- Identify and resolve issues related to theme functionality and performance.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing themes.
- Code Optimization and Best Practices:
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following Shopify's coding standards and best practices.
- Continuously improve code quality and performance.
- Stay Updated with Industry Trends:
- Keep up-to-date with the latest Shopify features, updates, and industry trends to ensure themes remain competitive and innovative.

Requirements:
- Proven Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in Shopify theme development with a strong portfolio showcasing custom themes and eCommerce projects.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Understanding of eCommerce and UX/UI Design:
- Strong understanding of eCommerce principles and user experience design to create intuitive and effective online shopping experiences.
- Problem-Solving Skills:
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Creative problem-solving skills to adapt themes based on client feedback and technical constraints.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong client-facing skills to gather requirements and provide updates.
- Attention to Detail:
- High level of attention to detail in code and design implementation, ensuring precision and consistency.
- Time Management:
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.


Additional Information:
- This is a fully remote position, allowing flexibility in work location and schedule.
- Candidates with a proven portfolio of web and app designs will be given preference.
- Compensation will be commensurate with experience and performance.
