Senior Wedding Film Editor Position

Luxury Wedding Photography & Cinematography

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Film Editor to join our luxury wedding cinematography team. As a premium service provider in the wedding industry, we're looking for a master storyteller who can transform beautiful moments into cinematic masterpieces.

About the Role

Create sophisticated, emotionally compelling wedding films ranging from 5-12 minutes in length, with delivery expectations of 1-3 months per project. This position requires someone who can independently manage the entire post-production process, from footage review to final delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Independently review and curate footage to identify the most impactful moments
Craft compelling narrative structures that tell unique stories for each couple
Design and implement sophisticated audio layering techniques
Create high-end, cinematic transitions that enhance storytelling
Manage project timelines and consistently meet delivery deadlines
Maintain consistent communication throughout the editing process
Deliver luxury-caliber work that matches our brand standards

Required Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of professional experience in film production and videography
Proven experience in wedding cinematography and storytelling
Expert-level proficiency in DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere Pro
Demonstrated portfolio of high-end, cinematic work
Strong understanding of narrative structure and storytelling techniques
Excellent project management and time management skills
Proven track record of meeting deadlines consistently

Technical Requirements

Professional-grade editing setup
Mastery of either DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere Pro
Advanced knowledge of audio mixing and sound design
Expertise in color grading and visual effects

Compensation

$700-1,000 CAD per wedding film
