Senior Web Developer

About Us:
West Coast Tree Service is a professional tree care company serving multiple California counties, dedicated to delivering quality service, safety, and customer satisfaction. We are growing our digital presence and seeking an experienced Senior Web Developer with expertise in WordPress, Wireframe, and Figma. This is a remote position with time tracking through Time Doctor.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress websites and plugins to improve UX and functionality.
• Create wireframes and prototypes using Figma for design planning and user journey optimization.
• Collaborate with marketing to implement SEO best practices, optimize site speed, and enhance UI/UX.
• Troubleshoot, test, and resolve technical issues for optimal site performance and security.
• Implement responsive design for seamless user experience across all devices.
• Integrate third-party services, plugins, and APIs as needed.
• Document development processes and coding standards while mentoring junior developers.
• Conduct code reviews and lead sprints to ensure timely, high-quality project completion.

Required Qualifications:
• 5+ years of senior-level experience as a Web Developer specializing in WordPress development.
• Expertise in Wireframing and Prototyping tools (Figma preferred).
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
• Experience with custom WordPress themes and plugins development.
• Strong understanding of responsive design, web performance optimization, and SEO.
• Familiarity with web analytics tools like Google Analytics.
• Experience integrating third-party services and APIs.
• Comfortable with remote work tools and time tracking software like Time Doctor.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

Preferred Skills:
• Experience with e-commerce platforms and payment gateways.
• Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards.
• Cloud platform knowledge (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
• Proficiency with DevOps tools (Docker, CI/CD, Git).
