Senior Tax Accountant (Philippines)

We're currently seeking a skilled Senior Tax Accountant in the Philippines to join our growing team!
Join our team as a full-time employee, where you can contribute remotely while benefiting from a collaborative work environment. Please note that this is a full-time position, not a contractor role. During the first 90 days, we ask that you align your work hours with your manager's time zone, which includes working some hours during the 10pm-6am night shift Philippine time. After this period, based on your performance, you'll work with your director to create a schedule that includes a four-hour overlap.
The primary role of this position is to serve clients across multiple industries through our Tax Services, including but not limited to:
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare financial statements for tax return purposes.
• Gather and analyze data required for tax return preparation.
• Research, analyze data, prepare documents, and reconcile financial information.
• Prepare and file various types of business and personal US tax returns accurately and on time.
• Compile written responses to IRS notices and other inquiries.
• Coordinate workflows within departments to ensure timely and accurate completion of tax-related tasks.
• Communicate financial and tax-related information to key stakeholders.
• Perform other tax filing duties as needed.
Work Experience
Candidates should have 3-5 years of relevant, hands-on experience, including but not limited to:
• Managing and organizing accounting and tax data.
• Utilizing technology to improve efficiencies in tax processes.
• Coordinating tax filings across various jurisdictions and industries.
• Communicating tax and financial insights to internal and external stakeholders.
• Handling multiple priorities and meeting competing deadlines.
Skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills: Ability to explain complex tax concepts simply.
• Client and project management: Proven ability to manage multiple clients and projects successfully.
• Collaboration: Effective teamwork with internal and external stakeholders to achieve goals.
• Initiative and follow-through: Self-motivated, quick learner, and capable of working independently.
Technical Competencies
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with tax-related tools and platforms (QuickBooks, Karbon, Bill.com, Sage Intacct, HubDoc, etc.).
• Skilled at email management using Microsoft Outlook.
• Adept at communicating remotely (via phone, teleconference, or email).
• Quick to learn new technologies and systems.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business is required.
Candidates with an Associate’s degree in finance and extensive relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.
