Job Overview:
Rest (rest.com) is seeking a motivated and talented Shopify Developer to join our e-commerce team and work under the guidance of our Head of E-commerce. The ideal candidate will assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining our company's e-commerce website. As a Shopify Developer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the online shopping experience, optimize website performance, and contribute to the overall success of our e-commerce platform. Key Responsibilities:
Assist in designing and implementing responsive, user-friendly interfaces for the e-commerce website.
Ensure a seamless and visually appealing online shopping experience across various devices and browsers.
Translate design concepts into functional and visually appealing web pages.
Support the development and maintenance of server-side logic for the e-commerce platform.
Implement and optimize database structures, integrate third-party APIs, and enhance e-commerce features for an efficient and secure shopping experience.
Optimize website performance to ensure fast page loading and smooth navigation.
Assist in implementing personalization features, recommendation algorithms, and other enhancements to improve the user experience.
Implement security best practices to protect customer data and ensure a secure online shopping environment.
Conduct thorough testing of the website to identify and fix bugs, ensuring a high level of quality.
Collaborate with quality assurance teams to implement automated testing processes.
Assist in integrating email campaigns seamlessly into the website, setting up automated workflows for critical touchpoints, and ensuring synchronization between the e-commerce and email marketing platforms.
Assist in designing and coding responsive email templates, optimizing for various devices, and implementing personalization elements to enhance user engagement.
Collaborate with the Rest team in the strategic planning, execution, and optimization of all e-commerce activities, driving revenue growth, and ensuring an exceptional online customer experience.
Stay informed about industry trends and changes in e-commerce regulations to ensure compliance.
Other job duties related to the role as required.
Qualifications:
MUST have several years of experience with Shopify Plus
MUST have CRO or Concersion Rate Optimization experience .
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Familiarity with Shopify platform and Liquid templating language.
Basic understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Basic understanding of back-end technologies and server-side languages.
Familiarity with version control systems and agile development methodologies.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Internship or project experience in e-commerce or Shopify development is a plus.
