We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will be key in cost management, contract administration, and risk mitigation for large-scale building and infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting for large-scale construction and infrastructure projects.
Manage contract administration, including JCT/NEC/FIDIC contracts, ensuring compliance and resolving disputes.
Conduct risk assessments and provide strategic advice on cost and contractual risks.
Lead the preparation and negotiation of tenders, variations, and claims.
Review and approve bills of quantities (BOQs), cost reports, and valuations.
Collaborate with clients, contractors, and legal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
Monitor and report on project financial performance and cash flow.
Support dispute resolution processes, including adjudication, arbitration, and expert witness reports if required.
Utilise industry-standard software for cost management, such as CostX, Bluebeam, CANDY, or Primavera P6.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience in quantity surveying, preferably on major building or infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of contract law and procurement strategies.
Experience with JCT, NEC3/NEC4, FIDIC, and other contract forms preferred.
Proficiency in cost estimation and project financial reporting.
Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
[Optional] Chartered status (MRICS or equivalent) is highly desirable.
