Senior Estimator

We are looking for a Senior Estimator with a background in commercial landscaping to join our expanding team. This role requires proficiency in using Excel and basic CAD for takeoffs, along with familiarity with SharePoint. The Senior Estimator will be responsible for preparing cost estimates, managing takeoff processes, and supporting our project teams by providing precise quantity calculations.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan Analysis & Takeoffs: Accurately read and interpret landscape plans, perform quantity takeoffs, and input data into standard spreadsheets.
Estimating & Cost Analysis: Prepare detailed cost estimates for a variety of commercial landscaping projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
Data Management: Organize and maintain data in SharePoint and other platforms, ensuring all records are up-to-date and accessible to relevant team members.
Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, designers, and suppliers to ensure accurate estimates and support project delivery.
Reporting: Generate reports to communicate findings, adjustments, and project costs to senior management and stakeholders.
Quality Control: Ensure that all quantity calculations are accurate and align with project requirements and standards.
Process Improvement: Continuously look for ways to improve estimating processes and implement best practices within the team.

Qualifications & Experience:
Commercial Landscaping Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the commercial landscaping industry.
Technical Skills: Proficient in Excel, with a good understanding of formulas and data manipulation. Basic CAD skills for takeoffs are essential.
Attention to Detail: Highly detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Mathematical Ability: Strong numerical skills with a focus on accuracy and precision in measurements and calculations.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present data clearly and effectively.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify discrepancies in plans and provide practical solutions.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to a positive working culture.

Preferred Skills:
Experience with landscape design software is a plus.
Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in commercial landscaping.
