My team and I are looking for a full-time video editor with some serious skill and intuition for what our audience loves!
ABOUT US...

I started Expedition Ranch in April of 2024 and we have seen some quick growth and now it's too much for me to keep up with editing. Our youtube channel and social media is all about building some very cool overland rigs and 4wd campers. We are still finding our style but VLOG would best describe it.
We build these rigs then we run giveaways on them through our e-commerce store
Our online shop is the engine behind what we do and funds the builds and everything else. We spend hundreds of thousands of $$$ on advertising to make this possible. I say this because not only will you be making organic content but you will also be creating ads. Ads are for making money and bringing people into our world. YouTube and organic content is there to build a relationship with our customer base.
JOB DESCRIPTION

- You will be responsible for turning raw footage into polished youtube videos, short form content and advertisements
- 1x 30+ Minute youtube video per week, 5x Short form videos, and an unknown # of ads
- Managing the content pipeline
- Creating thumbnails
- Uploading videos

- Color Grading
- Music Selection
- Audio and sound effects
- Photoshop
- Understanding Current Social Platforms and their trends
- Managing a schedule and hitting deadlines

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

I'm looking for someone who consistently is upping their game and coming up with ideas, strategy and ways to improve our workflow. We work hard here and I expect the same from you. This is a full time job, you can not be working for other employers.
I also would like to find someone who is familiar with our niche and understand vehicles even if it's modest. Most importantly I would like to find someone I truly enjoy working with and has an upbeat personality. You will be working with me (James the owner) directly and content is important to me. We will be on many calls together.
Compensation and Growth

I expect a lot and I will pay a lot for someone who can really up our game and obsess over it.
Base pay will be $1,500 per month working 40 hours per week. There may be weeks where we need more than 40 and you will be paid more. Payday is the 1st and 15th each month.
There will also be a commission/ Bonus System to encourage you to do your absolute best. We get paid about $500 a video from youtube. If we actually posted consistently, we could get those numbers way up. This is where the commission would come from. I am still figuring out how to set up our commission structure but if you are hitting the deadlines and getting good content out then I want it to basically double your base pay.
Yes, $3,000 is very doable if you have the skill and can meet deadlines.

4. We will get on a video interview to get to know each other better
5. We will hire 3 editors for our first videos as a trial run.
