We have an awesome opportunity for a bookkeeper, experienced in the Australian environment and QuickBooks Online, to join our small team.

We have well documented established procedures in our online portal.

EXPECTED COMMENCEMENT This role will commence between 7 and 20 January 2025

A THE ROLE

We and accounting firm looking at an experienced Bookkeeper who loves adding value to our valued clients. You need great bookkeeping skills combined with excellent written and spoken English.

You will spend your time adding value by providing bookkeeping services for our clients.

This role is Monday to Thursday, AEST (GMT +10), 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, a total of 36 hours per week.

We have clearly documented procedures. We are looking for people to follow our established systems so all staff are producing a similar, high-quality product that will add value to our clients’ businesses.

B.1 SPECIFICS OF THE ROLE

Responsibilities included in this role include:

# Work as part of a team providing a consistent service to small business clients.
# Bookkeeping – processing transactions for small business clients
# ensuring General Ledger allocations are accurate,
# ensuring GST allocation is correct
# reconciling bank accounts and review of any outstanding transactions
# Preparation of BAS

Essential skills and attributes include:

# Demonstrated Passion for accounting
# Excellent written and spoken English
# Rock solid understanding of Debit & Credits – you will be tested prior to interview
# Ability and willingness to follow our well-documented procedures
# Ability to understand the end goal of assigned tasks
# Ability to effectively communicate with team at all levels
# Client and Team focussed
# Advanced computer skills are essential, and you will be tested prior to interview

B.2 EQUIPMENT FOR THE ROLE

# Computer with processor i5 or higher ; minimum of 8MB RAM and at least 2 screens, preferably 3.
- either a Laptop with at least ONE additional screen or computer with 2 screens.
# Reliable Internet connection and back up Internet connection
# Dedicated workspace away from activities of other family members
# Dedicated desk and ergonomic chair
# DEDICATED noise cancelling headset (not shared with other family members)
# Camera for participation in meetings
# Keyboard with separate number pad and mouse

B.3 CHILD CARE

# Adult carer needs to be present at all times to care for children under 8 years old.

· Process automation is paramount, and you need to have a can-do attitude towards computers.
· Most of our clients are on QuickBooks Online

D WORK SCHEDULE AND HOLIDAYS

The role is Monday to Thursday, 36 hours per week, working 8:00 am to 5:30 pm. GMT +10

Experienced staff can request to work on a Friday if they want to increase their hours.

Payment is on a permanent basis with Pro-Rata annual leave and Personal leave.

We have a Christmas shutdown, generally of about 2 weeks. We approve leave for all Filipino staff to have Easter Thursday off work.

The amount of pay will be commensurate with experience. This is reviewed regularly.

PERKS AND BENEFITS

We pay in PHP directly to your bank account every second week for the preceding fortnight.
On completion of your 6 months’ probation, you will be entitled to pro-rata of 13th month pay.
We accrued 7% of your time worked as annual leave and 3.5 % of your time worked as sick leave; you are paid for all gazetted Australian (Brisbane) Public Holidays that fall on your workdays.
