Sales Trust Accountant ( with experience in Australia Real Estate)

We are looking for a part-time Trust Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have more than 12 months of proven experience in the Australian Real Estate industry especially in sales.

This role only requires a few hours per week and can be done after hours if you already have a full-time job.

Tasks:
- Perform daily receipting, including batch deposits, and email receipts to stakeholders.
- Complete daily bank reconciliations.
- Add or remove Auction Day Fees from campaigns and ensure campaign totals match the Authority.
- Reconcile supplier advertising invoices and resolve discrepancies.
- Raise Commission Invoices and send to Vendor's Solicitor once approved.
- Prepare draft Account Sales and complete Sale Details and Commission Sheets.
- Process stakeholder Account Sales and verify settlement trust account details.
- Mark listings as settled in and update Vendor/Purchaser addresses.
- Arrange payments for conjunctional or referral fees.
- Manage commission splits, settlement releases, and sale detail entries.
- Process trust adjustments, journals, refunds, and generate bank batch files.
- Conduct end-of-month and end-of-financial-year procedures.
- Prepare trust reports and investigate balancing errors.
- Ensure compliance with trust accounting regulations.
- Conduct training sessions and handle ad hoc accounts-related duties.
- Verify completion of Sold Forms, including commission splits and sale conditions.
- Process sales trust transactions, such as receipting and releasing deposit monies.
- Execute end-of-month processes for both trust accounts.
- Maintain accurate records of marketing expenditure and generate sales reports.
- Facilitate solicitor inquiries to assist with sale transactions, including the exchange of contracts.

Software Experience:
- Proficient in Xero
- Proficient in Agentbox (desirable)

Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
