Munaluchi Bride Magazine is a nationally distributed print/digital/online magazine catering to an affluent audience of women of color. Our Muna Media Group family of companies includes Munaluchi Bride, MunaMommy, and Coterie Retreat. We are seeking an Independent Contractor to join our remote team to accelerate our sales growth and provide exceptional support to our growing membership base.
Position Summary
The Sales & Support Specialist will play a crucial role in expanding Munaluchi's membership base from 67 to 200 members in Q2. This contractor position focuses on lead generation, sales outreach, member onboarding, and ongoing support to drive revenue growth across all Muna Media Group properties.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Sales
Build and maintain comprehensive lead lists of wedding professionals and vendors who could benefit from Munaluchi membership
Conduct targeted outreach to prospective members via
Convert leads into paying members through effective communication of Munaluchi's value proposition
Follow up systematically with leads using a defined sales pipeline approach
Schedule appointments between qualified prospects and the in-house team when appropriate
Document all prospect interactions in the company's CRM system (Hubspot)
Assist in achieving quarterly membership growth targets (67 to 200 members in Q2)
Member Onboarding & Support
Guide new members through the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition
Assist members with setting up their online storefronts and maximizing their presence on Munaluchi platforms
Provide technical assistance for members navigating the Muna Network community platform
Follow up with members experiencing payment declines to minimize churn
Address member inquiries via
Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities across all Muna Media platforms
Event Promotion
Promote registration for Munaluchi's annual conference and other special events
Follow up with potential attendees to drive event registrations
Support virtual event attendance and engagement
Gather feedback from event participants for future improvements
Reporting & Analytics
Track key sales metrics including lead conversion rates, sales cycle length, and churn rate
Compile weekly reports on sales activities and progress toward targets
Identify trends and opportunities in the sales pipeline
Provide insights on prospect and member feedback to inform business strategy
Additional Support
Contribute to the development of sales and marketing materials
Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance sales efficiency
Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities
Participate in regular tea
Required Qualifications
2+ years of experience in sales, business development, or related field
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
Experience with CRM systems (Hubspot preferred)
Familiarity with digital marketing and social media platforms
Self-motivated with ability to work independently
Tech-savvy with experience in digital tools and platforms
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the wedding industry or luxury markets
Knowledge of WordPress, and Canva
Understanding of the North American wedding market
Previous remote work experience
Experience working with multicultural clients or audiences
Background in subscription or membership-based businesses
Technical Requirements
Reliable high-speed internet connection
Quiet workspace for professional client calls
Computer with video conferencing capabilities for tea
Availability during standard North American business hours (with flexibility)
Compensation Structure
Hourly pay

Reporting Relationship
