SEO Specialist

Location: Remote (Perth, WA Time Zone)
Job Type: Contract Project Based Work with the opportunity for long term full time contract work

We’re growing fast and looking for SEO Specialists to work with our team on contract project based work. For those that excel in the role there is the opportunity of full time contract work in the future.

So, the job.

As an SEO Specialist, your role will revolve around SEO best-practice implementation, maintaining site health, and driving local SEO strategies for a diverse range of clients. You'll be responsible for executing 90-day SEO strategies, ensuring websites are optimised for search visibility, and collaborating with our team to deliver outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities:
* Implement SEO best practices on client websites, ensuring compliance with the latest search engine algorithms.
* Execute technical SEO fixes, on-page optimisations, speed improvements, and local SEO enhancements as per the 90-day SEO plan.
* Conduct website health audits, identifying and resolving technical issues that could impact search engine performance.
* Collaborate with SEO Strategists to implement SEO recommendations and ensure website compliance.
* Optimise local business listings, citations, and NAP (Name, Address, Phone Number) consistency across online directories.
* Leverage Google Business Profile, geo-targeted content strategies, and review management to enhance local search presence.
* Keep up to date with SEO trends, algorithm updates, and emerging technologies, ensuring strategies are aligned with best
practices.
* Monitor and report on SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog.

You:

* Proven experience as an SEO Specialist or in a similar role, with a track record of improving rankings and organic traffic.
* In-depth knowledge of SEO fundamentals, including technical SEO, on-page optimisation, Core Web Vitals, and site speed optimisation.
* Proficiency with industry-leading SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Moz, Screaming Frog, and
Sitebulb.
* Experience working with WordPress, Shopify, and other common CMS platforms to implement SEO strategies.
* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make data-driven recommendations.
*An understanding of link-building best practices and ethical SEO techniques.
* Good written and spoken English communication skills to collaborate with teaUpgrade to see actual infombers and provide strategic recommendations.
* Familiarity with AI tools and their application to SEO is a plus.
* At least 3mbps of stable internet connection (with a backup internet)
* MUST have a mid-level performance desktop or laptop (good for multitasking)
* MUST have a working mic & webcam
