JOB OVERVIEW

The SEO Manager will be responsible for managing a small set of SEO clients, organizing client deliverables and ensuring the junior team assist with deadlines. This role demands strong seo management skills, a focus on processes and structure, and exceptional attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the SEO field and a proven track record of managing a set of clients in an agency environment.

You will manage a small number of clients and to a lesser extent assist the junior team where time allows

Key Responsibilities

- Build high quality backlinks
- Create highly optimised content
- Perform internal linking
- Finding keyword and content opportunities
- Documenting all completed work in a spreadsheet
- Executing technical SEO Audits
- Assisting with conversion of SEO pages
- SEO Analysis via Google Search Console and Google Analytics

Client Coordination:

- Organize and document client requirements for SEO projects.
- Act as the main point of contact for smaller clients, ensuring timely communication and updates.
- Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.

Team Management:

- Coordinate with the SEO team to ensure tasks are completed on time.
- Monitor the progress of ongoing projects and maintain timelines.
- Implement and oversee processes to improve team efficiency and productivity.

Operational Excellence:

- Ensure high standards of quality in all deliverables, including technical audits, content strategy, link acquisition, etc.
- Review and approve work before it is delivered to clients, with a keen eye for detail in spelling, grammar, and overall quality.

Problem Solving:

- Identify and address challenges in the SEO industry.
- Develop strategies and solutions to overcome obstacles and improve SEO performance.


Reporting:

- Ensure the team reporting data is accurate and relevant for the client. (using google data studio, google sheets & Notion)
- Create internal reports on the project status, team performance, and client satisfaction.
- Use data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for future projects.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in seo management at a digital marketing agency or with clients (4-5 years preferred).
- Proven experience in the SEO field, with a strong understanding of technical audits, content strategy, link acquisition, and other SEO tasks.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, including spelling, grammar, and to-do planning.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to respond to clients promptly and professionally.
- Ability to develop and implement efficient processes and workflows.
- Problem-solving skills to address challenges in the SEO industry.
- Ability to use standard SEO tools and productivity tools (e.g. Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, WordPress, Snov.io, Google Sheets/docs/slides, etc)
- University degree in Business Management preferred but not essential

Ability to show SEO growth on a campaign, how it was achieved and what you would do to grow an example client
