SEO Data Analyst

Job Overview: We seek a detail-oriented, tech-savvy SEO Data Analyst to support a major research project analyzing 500 organization websites. Using SEMrush and additional tools, you'll perform comprehensive website audits, compile key SEO and website performance metrics, and help benchmark this data for a high-profile industry presentation.

Please note that you will also need programming skills to develop scripts to automate the auditing process. We DO NOT want someone to audit 500 websites manually. We envision completing this with automation scripting using Python + Selenium to streamline auditing and reporting processes using Semrush and additional tools to collect tech stack data. (See below.) Standardized reports would then be formatted, and individual audit reports would be generated for each organization.

Key Responsibilities:
• Use Semrush to conduct website audits on 500 provided URLs
• Extract and compile data points, including Domain Authority Score, backlinks, bounce rate, organic traffic, site health, page speed, and more
• Utilize additional tools to collect data, such as tech stack information (BuiltWith, Wappalyzer, Netcraft, PageXray, SimilarTech, SSL Labs, TechLookUp)
• Develop scripts to automate the website auditing process for future use
• Create scripts to automate the generation of standardized individual audit reports
• Implement browser automation tools like Selenium or similar for efficient data extraction
• Use automation scripts to batch-process URLs and log data into spreadsheets or databases
• Organize and standardize data for benchmarking across all websites
• Analyze trends, patterns, and key insights from the data
• Create data visualizations and presentation materials to showcase benchmarked metrics

Requirements:
• Proven experience using Semrush for website audits and SEO analysis
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large data sets
• Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets for data organization and reporting
• Experience with automation scripting (such as Python + Selenium) to streamline auditing and reporting processes
• Familiarity with additional data extraction tools such as BuiltWith, Wappalyzer, Netcraft, PageXray, SimilarTech, SSL Labs, TechLookUp
• Experience creating presentations and data visualizations (PowerPoint, Google Slides, or similar)
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently

Preferred Skills:
• Background in marketing analytics or website performance analysis
• Experience with association or nonprofit sector websites is a plus

Contract Details:
• Project-based contract (expected duration: 4 weeks. May lead to additional projects with successful completion.)
