SEO Content Editor

Job Profile:

A digital media company based in Europe is looking for an English speaking and talented web content editor on a remote basis.
The successful candidate will help maintain a high-level of editorial standards for its established online platforms that attract readers largely from the US, UK and Europe.

NOTE: The position is for a fully remote work arrangement.

Responsibilities:

• Edit and proofread content for grammar, clarity, originality, readability and accuracy
• Ensure all-around consistency in terms of style, images and tone of all material
• Creation of article briefs and their assignment to relevant and available writers
• Timely communication with contracted writers to provide precise feedback, arrange needed revisions, and maintain
healthy relationships
• Manage all editorial and content-related enquiries
• Schedule and publish approved web content on the websites
• Arrange for any required images, graphics or supplementary material to be included in published content
• Contribute to and edit newsletter content
• Support our PR, outreach and digital marketing efforts when required
• Help with the creation/preparation of print material when required
• Stay up to date with industry developments and best practices of digital content creation

Requirements:

• Native/fluency in English is required
• A bachelor’s degree in English, communications, marketing or a related field, or a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
• A passion for editing and creating engaging copy
• Experience with editing/writing HR, career, recruitment and business topics would be advantageous
• Proficiency with popular content management tools and software is advantageous
• An interest in SEO or an understanding of its best practices
• An excellent attention to detail
• An ability to grasp new concepts quickly and to keep up with industry developments and trends
• An ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong organizational, time management and multitasking skills
• Possess their own workstation and have a strong and secure internet connection
