JOB OVERVIEW

Location: Remote (Direct hire opportunity)
Schedule: After Hours (Transition to 3 PM - 1 AM then 11 PM - 8:30 AM)
Training: Train on Day Shift at 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM CST, then Transition to 3 PM - 1 AM then 11 PM - 8:30 AM. Training is paid upon completion.

AJG Transport is a fast-growing and safety-focused trucking company dedicated to delivering excellence on the road. We take risk management seriously and are looking for a proactive After-Hours Risk Manager to help us monitor, assess, and address issues as they arise during nighttime operations.

Position Overview:
As our After-Hours Risk Manager, you’ll be the first line of defense in identifying and mitigating potential risks, ensuring safe and smooth overnight operations. You will start by training on the day shift to learn our processes before transitioning to nights, where you’ll work independently while keeping leadership informed of critical issues.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor trucking operations in real-time, identifying potential safety, compliance, and operational risks with a primary focus on Hours of Service (HOS) compliance.
- Respond to and escalate issues such as aUpgrade to see actual info, delays, equipment failures, policy violations, and HOS infractions.
- Proactively monitor drivers in violation or nearing violation on an hourly basis to prevent potential risks.
- Conduct iUpgrade to see actual info investigations and document findings for leadership review, ensuring accurate reporting of HOS violations, operational concerns, and any irregularities uncovered during risk checks
- Collaborate closely with dispatch, drivers, and management to ensure quick resolution of issues and seamless coordination across shifts, ensuring that repairs are logged and invoices are uploaded and split in Loadstop for vehicles and trailers.
- Generate audit reports and provide insights on operational performance, compliance trends, and recurring issues to support decision-making.
- Send memos as necessary as part of regular communications to ensure compliance.
- Support seamless shift transitions by ensuring clear handoffs, completing or passing on pending tasks, and maintaining workflow continuity throughout the day.

What We're Looking For:
- Experience in trucking, logistics, risk management, or a related field.
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and trucking safety standards (preferred).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly under pressure.
- Minimum typing speed of 45 words per minute.
- Strong English proficiency (spoken and written)
- Reliable internet connection and remote work setup with at least 2 monitors
- Exceptional organizational, time-management, and decision-making skills.
- Willingness to remain available on Zoom throughout the shift and actively use Hubstaff for time tracking and productivity monitoring.
- Tech-savvy and proficient in MS Office, OneDrive, Google applications, and TMS.
