Key Responsibilities
• Air Import Coordination:
• Manage and track international air import shipments from origin to destination.
• Ensure timely processing of documentation, including airway bills, invoices, and customs paperwork.
• Coordinate with airlines, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure smooth clearance.
• Documentation & Compliance:
• Prepare and verify shipping documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with international trade regulations.
• Handle import clearance procedures and liaise with relevant authorities when needed.
• Maintain proper records of shipments, invoices, and compliance documents.
• Communication & Customer Support:
• Serve as a liaison between clients, suppliers, and internal teams to provide shipment updates.
• Address inquiries and resolve any shipment-related issues proactively.
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors and partners to optimize logistics efficiency.
• Tracking & Reporting:
• Monitor shipment statuses and provide regular updates to clients and stakeholders.
• Assist in analyzing shipment data to identify potential bottlenecks and improve operations.
• Maintain and update internal tracking systems and spreadsheets.
• Weekend Shipment Support:
• This role may require occasional work on weekends to handle shipments arriving over the weekend.
• Any weekend work will be subject to an overtime fee. The candidate must notify the team in advance so overtime hours can be properly logged for billing.Qualifications & Skills Required:
• Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in international air import logistics or freight forwarding.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with INCOTERMS, customs clearance, and air cargo regulations.
• Communication: Strong English proficiency (verbal and written) for international coordination.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to handle multiple shipments, ensuring accuracy in documentation and compliance.
• Time Management: Capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to handle unexpected issues with shipments and find timely resolutions.Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience in a freight forwarding or logistics company handling air imports.
