JOB OVERVIEW

Role Overview
As a Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management, maintenance, and optimization of our IT systems. You will also supervise the IT Helpdesk Specialist, providing guidance and escalated support when necessary. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with deep technical expertise and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
System Administration:
Manage and maintain company IT infrastructure, including Microsoft 365, Slack, and hardware/software in Windows and Mac environments.
Ensure system performance, security, and reliability by implementing updates, patches, and proactive monitoring.
Administer access control and user account management, ensuring compliance with company policies.

Helpdesk Management:
Supervise the IT Helpdesk Specialist, providing mentorship, performance reviews, and guidance for escalated issues.
Oversee ticketing processes, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of technical issues.
Develop and enforce helpdesk procedures and best practices.

Network and Device Management:
Configure and maintain network devices, including firewalls, routers, and VPNs.
Ensure proper functioning and security of all company devices (laptops, desktops, mobile devices).

NinjaOne (Preferred):
Leverage NinjaOne for remote monitoring, endpoint management, and IT automation.
Optimize NinjaOne configurations to enhance IT efficiency.

IT Planning and Strategy:
Identify opportunities to improve IT processes, workflows, and tools.
Collaborate with leadership to plan and implement IT projects aligned with business goals.
Create and maintain comprehensive IT documentation, including system configurations and troubleshooting guides.

Incident Response:
Manage escalated technical issues and act as the point of contact for critical incidents.
Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for advanced support when necessary.

Qualifications
Experience:
At least 3–5 years of experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role.
Proven experience managing IT helpdesk teams or providing team leadership.

Technical Skills:
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 (administration, configuration, and security).
Proficiency in Slack workspace administration.
Expertise in Windows and MacOS environments.
Experience with NinjaOne (strongly preferred).
Solid understanding of networking, firewalls, and VPN configuration.
Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and compliance.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Outstanding verbal and written communication in English.
Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
