About us:
We are seeking a dedicated Operational Procurement Officer to join our team in a remote capacity. The ideal candidate will focus on the operational side of procurement, ensuring the timely and accurate procurement of materials, goods, and services. The role involves managing orders, monitoring delivery schedules, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with agreements. Proficiency in German is essential for effective communication with German-speaking suppliers and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement and Purchasing:
• Procure materials, goods, and services required for operations in alignment with company requirements.
• Create and process orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Negotiate prices, conditions, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
Logistics and Quality Management:
• Monitor and follow up on delivery schedules to ensure timely receipt of goods.
• Address and resolve any quality issues or discrepancies with suppliers, ensuring smooth operations.
Supplier Relationship Management:
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring effective collaboration and problem-solving.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding prices, conditions, and delivery times, ensuring adherence to agreed-upon terms.
Contract Management and Reporting:
• Monitor and check whether suppliers adhere to agreed terms, including prices and delivery schedules, based on order confirmations.
• Regularly report on procurement activities, including supplier performance, cost management, and operational improvements.
• Ensure procurement processes are aligned with company policies and objectives.
Collaboration and Coordination:
• Coordinate and communicate with internal departments (e.g.,
warehouse, production, and sales) to ensure smooth procurement and supply chain operations.
• Support in optimizing purchasing processes to increase efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Complaint Processing and Discrepancy Resolution :
• Address complaints and resolve discrepancies with suppliers in a timely and effective manner.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Education:: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in operational procurement, supply chain management, or a related field.
Skills:
-Proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, and ERP systems.
-Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities.
-Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Languages:
• Fluency in German (spoken and written) is required for effective communication with German-speaking suppliers.
• Proficiency in Arabic (required).
• Fluency in French and / or Arabic is a plus but not required.
Work Environment:
This is a remote position, and the candidate must be able to independently manage procurement processes while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
