What We’re Looking For:
We need an experienced mid to senior-level full-time Google Tag Manager Specialist! This is a remote (work-from-home) position. We seek a meticulous and data-driven individual to join our talented team and elevate our company and clients to the next level.
Responsibilities:
As a Google Tag Manager Specialist, you will play a key role in understanding Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and Google Ads intricately and collaborating with our team to ensure seamless tag management, reporting & data analytics.
This is a remote position where your responsibilities will focus on the technical aspects of tag management, assisting with setting up reports, data analytics, automation and related. You will be responsible for testing, routined quality checks, creating, building, managing, analysing, and implementing data-driven initiatives on a day-to-day basis, ensuring precision in execution, and working alongside our marketing specialists and any relevant internal teams to suggest what data would be valuable to track. You will be able to answer inquiries and troubleshoot issues. You will be able to assist in translating data analytics to clients and guide campaign strategy.
Includes:
- Implementing and maintaining Google Tag Manager (GTM) container setups, tracking pixels, event tracking, and custom scripts.
- Ensuring data accuracy and reliability in Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Ads.
- Troubleshooting tracking issues and ensuring seamless tag implementation across various websites and platforms.
- Managing server-side tracking, enhanced conversions, offline conversions, and other advanced tracking implementations.
- Conducting regular quality assurance checks on tracking configurations.
- Collaborating with SEO, PPC, and development teams to align tracking strategies with business objectives.
- Assisting in dashboard creation, reporting automation, and data visualisation.
- Providing technical support for clients and internal teams regarding analytics and tracking issues.

- Once you manage a full slate (we have an algorithm to determine a full slate based on the bandwidth taken up by the types of clients on your plate), you can be promoted up to 3 tiers as a specialist.

Problem-solving: The cardinal sin at our company is asking someone a question you could have solved yourself. We need people willing to “figure it out” and not mind rolling up their sleeves. That doesn’t mean we aren’t here to support you, we are. But only when you encounter a problem that you truly can’t solve. You’re expected to bring more to the table than expected and hurdle problems, not allow them to get in your way.
Initiative: Motivated by competition and results. You are likely a skilled, pragmatic enforcer whose focus on achievement and success can help those around you accomplish goals. You speak directly and make decisions quickly. You like to explore worthwhile, practical solutions.
Strategy: Your job is to learn about the client’s business and understand what they sell, who they sell to, etc. Understanding the Then, alongside the team, guides the client towards strategies that help their ad campaigns become as profitable as possible. If this means they need to change their website, it’s up to you to realise this and recommend it to them. If this means their obsession with getting a low click-through rate is hurting them because the quality of their website traffic is dropping (and consequently their conversion rates), it’s up to you to educate them on a better metric to base their campaign success on.
What You Should Have:
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Google Tag Manager (GTM) and Google Analytics (GA4).
- Strong understanding of Google Ads conversion tracking,
- Experience with server-side tracking, enhanced conversions, and offline conversion tracking.
- Experience with WordPress, Shopify, or other CMS platforms is a plus.
- High attention to detail.
- Keen sense of problem-solving
- Highly analytical and data-driven thinker.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and also work efficiently autonomously.
- Perform keyword research, strategising, implementing, budget management and optimisation for performance-focused paid campaigns.
- Curate performance reports and insights.
- Experience with AI & automation.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets knowledge.
- Either of the below are not required but highly advantageous.
- Google Ads Scripting / Google Ads API Experience (Not Required But Advantageous).
- Business Operations Automation I.e. Zapier, APIs (Not Required But Advantageous).
- Google Ads Optimisation Experience (Not Required But Advantageous).
- Conversion Rate Optimisation Experience (Not Required But Advantageous).
- Attitude to self-develop and stay up to date with Google Analytic trends
- Able to adhere to strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong English proficiency: Verbal and written
- Willing to work an AU time zone: Mon - Fri AEST Time (8 Hours + 1 Hour Break) - Flexible Start / End Time
- Remote working. This is a remote (work-from-home) position.
- Must be able to do Video Chats: Have access to a desktop, webcam, etc.
