Role Overview
We are seeking a Remote Estimator & Project Coordinator to handle incoming inquiries from our website, respond to client emails, generate accurate estimates, and manage project coordination. This role requires a deep understanding of material costs, labor analysis, and fabrication techniques to turn a cold inquiry into a structured estimate with a fast turnaround. You will act as a contractor, manager, scheduler, price researcher, and fabrication expert to ensure our custom projects are priced correctly and delivered efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
Receive and respond to inquiries from the website, engaging with clients professionally.
Analyze project requirements based on client descriptions, drawings, or reference images.
Develop precise cost estimates by breaking down raw materials, labor, and fabrication techniques involved.
Source and compare material prices (wood, plastics, metals, hardware, fasteners, etc.) from suppliers.
Coordinate with fabricators and production teams to ensure estimates reflect real-world costs and timelines.
Automate the estimating process by refining workflows, templates, and pricing databases for quicker turnarounds.
Track client interactions and follow up on estimates, moving projects through our client relationship pipeline.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Strong understanding of custom fabrication, construction, or manufacturing.
Experience in estimating, project coordination, or pricing analysis.
Knowledge of wood, metal, plastics, and other raw materials, including pricing and availability.
Familiarity with fabrication techniques (CNC machining, welding, laser cutting, woodworking, etc.).
Ability to manage multiple inquiries simultaneously and deliver estimates quickly.
Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, CRM tools, and estimating software.
Strong written communication skills for clear and professional client interactions.
Experience working with U.S.-based fabrication shops is a plus.
