Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to ensure the highest quality of our web application through comprehensive frontend testing. This role focuses on identifying and documenting user interface issues, ensuring cross-browser compatibility, and maintaining consistent user experience across all devices. You will work directly with our Product Manager to maintain quality standards and improve our web application's frontend performance.

Responsibilities:

1. Frontend Testing:
- Perform thorough UI/UX testing across all major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.)
- Conduct responsive design testing across mobile and desktop devices
- Execute functional testing of web application features
- Verify visual consistency and brand alignment
- Identify and document frontend bugs and usability issues

2. Quality Assurance:
- Create and maintain detailed test cases for frontend features
- Conduct regression testing after updates and new feature implementations
- Perform cross-browser compatibility testing
- Verify responsive design functionality across different screen sizes
- Document and track frontend-related bugs and issues in Notion

3. Documentation & Reporting:
- Create clear, detailed bug reports with steps to reproduce
- Maintain testing documentation and test case libraries
- Track and report on testing progress and statistics
- Document testing procedures and best practices
- Create and update testing documentation in Notion

4. Collaboration:
- Work directly with the Product Manager to understand requirements and quality standards
- Provide regular updates on testing progress and critical issues
- Participate in product review meetings
- Communicate effectively about bug severity and priority
- Help establish QA best practices and procedures

Required Skills:
- Proven experience in frontend web application testing
- Strong knowledge of cross-browser testing methodologies
- Experience with responsive design testing
- Proficiency in creating clear, detailed bug reports
- Experience with bug tracking and documentation in tools like Notion
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

Bonus Skills (Not Required):
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS
- Experience with automated testing tools
- Knowledge of web accessibility standards
- Understanding of UX/UI design principles
- Experience with Agile development processes

Work Style, Hours, and Expectations:

- Flexible Schedule: You are expected to maintain your own schedule, working asynchronously with the team.
- Part-Time Commitment: Initially, this role will require about 30 hours per week, but could increase to full time and potential for a salaried role down the line for the right person.
- Equipment: A stable Internet connection and your own computer hardware are required.
- Problem Solving: We value creativity and problem-solving skills. Feel free to think outside the box and ask questions.
