Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer for Web Apps

Propel Commerce is a leading developer of Shopify apps. We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) engineer with exceptional attention to detail to join our scrum team.

The QA engineer role plays an important part in our company’s development process. You'll be responsible for conducting comprehensive QA testing on our apps to ensure bugs are caught before they reach production.

Responsibilities

- Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Conduct testing and record results in a clear manner supplemented with screenshots and screencasts of failed cases
- Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved

Requirements

- Proven work experience in software quality assurance
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
- Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process

NOTE: this is a part-time position and hours will vary from week to week. We expect 5-10 hours per week on average. There may be some weeks without any QA needed. This position is ideal for someone looking to augment, not replace, their current job.
