Product Technical Support

You’ll be helping customers via email to solve problems with the devices we sell them. When not involved in customer support, you will be completing various VA-related tasks for the CEO or other team members.

Our device is based on the Raspberry Pi 4 and runs on Debian Linux. We have an extensive support playbook and ticket histories to work from, but you will also eventually be sent a device and be expected to do on-the-spot troubleshooting and investigation when necessary.

Over email, you will deal with problems like people not receiving their order yet, all the way to someone experiencing a unique issue with their specific setup that we need to try to help with. As you troubleshoot and solve issues, you will update our support documents as necessary.

You will have a weekly meeting with someone more senior from the support staff or with the CEO. Meetings will generally take place during the morning (US East Coast time). Your work hours are expected to be within the US East Coast overnight hours (10pm ET - 6am ET). This is a part-time role with potential to grow hours and your role for the right candidate.

Other than scheduled meetings, you will have time flexibility within the range outlined above as long as you're getting the work done.

You will be expected to track your time using our company’s Toggl account.
