About our Business
Glenview Developments & Construction is an Australian Company in the commercial construction industry, we are currently seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Procurement Specialist / Purchasing Agent to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing the procurement of goods and services, ensuring optimal value and efficiency for our organisation.
Your Role:
• Work autonomously and be responsible for purchasing items and materials from local (Australian) and international suppliers at the best prices.

• Coordinate the booking of international & local shipments, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of goods.

• Oversee clearance documentation for arrivals into Australia, ensuring compliance with import/export requirements

• Process Improvement: Develop and refine procurement processes, procedures, and activities, identifying opportunities for improvements aligned with best practices.

• Strategic Sourcing: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conduct market research, and develop sourcing strategies to optimise cost, quality, and delivery.
• Own the procurement process – create and manage Purchase Orders ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

• Negotiate with confidence – work with suppliers, container carriers, customs brokers and wharf cartage to secure the best prices and lead times.

• Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, monitor supplier performance, and address any issues or concerns.
• Cost Analysis & Reporting: Analyse procurement data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and prepare regular reports on procurement performance.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.

The ideal candidate will have a background in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, preferably in the construction materials sector.
• Proactive, solutions-focused team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to make an impact.
• A collaborative mindset – open to sharing ideas and working together.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
• The ability to balance cost, quality, and lead times to get the best value.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power BI skills.
• Experience with SAP systems.
• A keen eye for data accuracy and process improvements.
