JOB OVERVIEW

** PLEASE NOTE**

- ALL applications must supply a 15-30 second TRAILER reel on Joseph McClendon III.
- Do NOT apply if you have not created this. See below for explanation on what is required.
- this will be a gig to start off with, so I can get to see the work, and then potentially long term hire. Monthly salary will change when I give more jobs - if I am happy with the work

TRAILER REQUIREMENTS

So I can filter through and find the appropriate people who have the skills required for this job, I am asking that the people who are serious in applying, create a 15-30 second TRAILER - edited in the same way and style, like how THE DIARY OF A CEO is edited- MUST be like this. Examples of trailers are as follows:

Trailer starts at 0:26

Upgrade to see actual info
Trailer starts at 0:25

Look at the way it is edited. Look at how the video starts and how the editor has incorporated b-roll in the background without interrupting the conversation.

Please send me a 15-30 second clip for JOSEPH MCCLENDON III with your application

Please look online for footage to use for the trailer and b-roll.

Viewing this footage will make it easier to see who has the skills for this role.

WORK MOVING FORWARD

I am looking for a highly skilled, reliable, and professional video editor who can edit my episodes to match the style of Diary of a CEO – both in long-form (YouTube) and short-form (social media reels).
THIS REQUIREMENT IS A MUST!! I do NOT want any other editing style!

WHAT YOU'LL E EDITING:

• Full-length YouTube video (clean, professional, engaging) (between 1-2hrs interview)

• 4 to 5 social media reels (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.) - 90 seconds each

WHAT'S REQUIR5ED FOR THE YOUTUBE VIDEO:

• Polished editing – Remove pauses, mistakes, and create seamless flow
• Color grading & lighting adjustments – Ensure I look my best
• Add music - like how The Diary of a CEO does for both long form and short form videos. You must select the appropriate music.
• Audio extraction & enhancement – Clean up the audio for podcast use
• Strong structure:

1. Hook at the beginning

2. TRAILER featuring the guest (must do own research online to find footage to use for video trailer).
THE TRAILER IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS!!

3. Main interview

4. Subscription CTA seamlessly integrated

• Engaging thumbnail design

WHAT'S REQUIRED FOR THE SOCIAL MEDIA REELS:

• 4 to 5 reels per episode

• Each reel should be up to 90 seconds

• ONE of these reels MUST include B-roll, the guest’s trailer, and a strong hook that leaves viewers in suspense

• The other reels will focus on pure gold-nugget Upgrade to see actual infonts from the interview

• Each reel must create suspense – They should end in a way that leaves viewers wanting to watch the full episode

• High-quality captions – Style MUST match Diary of a CEO

• Edits to look professional & to keep view engaged

• Cover images for the reels

NON-NEGOTIABLE PREREQUISITES:

I am ONLY looking for video editors who are:
- Reliable & Punctual – You must deliver on time or ahead of schedule. No excuses.
- Professional & Communicative – I will not chase anyone for completed work.
- Experienced & Detail-Oriented – This is for high-quality production, not beginner-level work.
- Edit the same as with Diary of a CEO Editing Style – You must study and understand their format for both long-form and short-form content.
- Looking for Long-Term Work – I want someone who can execute consistently and grow with my brand.

RATE & ONGOING WORK:

• $50 AUD (NOT USD) per episode (1 long form video & 4-5 short videos edited)

• Immediate work available – I have more jobs to give after initial one, if I like the work

• This will be an ongoing project

TO APPLY:

If you’re a top-tier video editor who meets all the criteria above, please apply with:

1. Examples of past podcast or interview-style edits (long-form + reels)

2. Confirmation that you understand the Diary of a CEO editing style

3. Your turnaround time per episode

------- If you are unreliable, unprofessional, or cannot meet deadlines, do NOT apply.------

Looking forward to working with you.
