Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Podcast Specialist to join our growing marketing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, production, and promotion of our podcast content as part of our broader multi-channel strategy. This role will focus on delivering high-quality podcasts that engage and educate our audience, while aligning with the overall marketing goals of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
Podcast Strategy: Collaborate with the marketing and content teams to develop and execute a podcast strategy that aligns with broader company objectives and resonates with our target audience.
Content Planning & Development: Generate ideas for podcast topics, formats, and guest speakers, working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure that content supports key messaging and campaigns.
Recording & Production: Manage the entire production process, including scripting, recording, editing, and post-production of episodes to ensure high-quality output.
Guest Management: Coordinate with external guests, managing outreach, scheduling, and pre-recording briefings to ensure a smooth experience and insightful content.
Distribution & Promotion: Publish episodes on podcast platforms (e.g., Apple Podcasts, Spotify) and work with the digital marketing team to promote episodes through
Analytics & Reporting: Track podcast performance metrics and provide regular reports on audience growth, engagement, and the effectiveness of individual episodes, using insights to make data-driven recommendations for optimisation.
Content Repurposing: Collaborate with content creators to repurpose podcast content into other formats, such as blog posts, social media snippets, and video teasers.
Staying Current: Stay up-to-date with podcast industry trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve production quality and content effectiveness.
Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience in podcast production, with a portfolio of produced and published episodes.
Proficiency with podcast recording and editing software (e.g., Adobe Audition, Audacity, or similar).
Strong editorial judgement and a passion for storytelling with the ability to engage and entertain diverse audiences.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to draft scripts and edit audio content to a professional standard.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Experience working within a content or marketing team, with an understanding of how podcast content can support broader brand objectives.
Familiarity with podcast distribution platforms and an understanding of how to promote and grow a podcast audience.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Desirable Skills
Experience in content marketing or digital marketing.
Knowledge of SEO and podcast discoverability.
Understanding of basic video editing or familiarity with YouTube (for cross-promotion purposes).
